I am in the opinion that space is rather a three-dimensional (x,y,z) mathematical concept, where real energetic fields exist and interact, than a fabric of space-time.
Nothing interacts with space or time. There is only inter-energetic fields interactions.
Where gravity is the primary interactions of concentrated energetic fields. Electromagnetism is the interaction of all form of energetic fields. Strong nuclear interaction within concentrated energetic field. And weak nuclear interaction within other energetic fields.
Dark energy is a complementary interaction, more specific to gravity.
The concept of space-time fabric is removed.
